== External services and privacy ==

KindLabz Article Assistant connects only to services you configure:

* Gemini API: https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs
* OpenAI API: https://platform.openai.com/docs
* Anthropic API: https://docs.anthropic.com/
* Pexels API: https://www.pexels.com/api/

You need your own account and API key for whichever provider you enable. No AI request is made until you save an API key and start generation.

When you generate a draft, the topic, optional context, selected language and brand settings are sent to the selected AI provider. If Pexels is enabled, image keywords are sent to Pexels to search for photos. Imported images are stored in your WordPress media library with source metadata for editorial review.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Is there a free way to test real AI generation? =
Yes. Choose Google Gemini in Settings, create an API key at https://aistudio.google.com/app/apikey, and start with the recommended Flash model. Google publishes free-tier Gemini API options, but exact limits can vary by model, region, account and policy.

= Where do I get an OpenAI key? =
Go to https://platform.openai.com/api-keys, create a secret key, copy it once, then add billing credit in your OpenAI account.

= Where do I get an Anthropic key? =
Go to https://console.anthropic.com/settings/keys, create a key, copy it, then add credits under Billing.

= Where do I get a Gemini key? =
Go to https://aistudio.google.com/app/apikey, sign in, create an API key, choose or create a Google Cloud project, then paste the key in Settings.

= Where do I get a Pexels key? =
Go to https://www.pexels.com/api/key/, register, and copy the key from your Pexels API dashboard. Pexels is optional; without it, articles are generated without stock photos.

= Does the plugin publish automatically? =
Free never publishes automatically. It creates WordPress drafts only. Pro automation can show review and autopublish controls when a valid license is active.
